Don’t Sell Yourself Short

Don't Sell Yourself ShortYou have been wanting to start a business for years now. But, who would pay you to do anything? You’ve never accomplished anything, you’re not interesting or excellent at things. Even your family and friends are telling you to just be happy with what you have.

But you still want more. Don’t sell yourself short, you deserve more and here is how you can do it.

What Have You Done?

No matter what job or jobs you’ve had in your life you have skills others do not. Typing is a skill that so many people don’t have. Another is social media, even the way you explain things can be a skill.

Take 10 minutes of uninterrupted time and write down everything you have done in your life that your good at. It may be cooking, or eating, typing, reading, organization, editing, anything and everything you can think of.

Why Others Want To Know What You Know

Think back to when you were learning a new task at work. The person assigned to teach you probably had been doing it for years.

When they first showed you, it was so fast that you thought to yourself “there is no way I’ll EVER be able to do it that fast and that good”. However, in a relatively short time, you probably were able to do it as good if not better.

That is why people would want to buy from you, your experience. People don’t want to type out their thoughts some people want to record it email it to you and have you write it out for them.

Some know they need a social media presence, but have no desire to actually build one.

And still, others know the importance of having home-cooked meals but don’t have the time or skill to do so. If you don’t sell yourself short you can provide these and many other services and make money at the same time.

How To Not Sell Yourself

Have confidence, even if you’re not confident. You are worth more than you are asking, no matter what you’re asking.

Know how much money or time you’ll save someone. If you can do a job in an hour that they typically pay someone 5 hours to do your saving so much time for them they’ll gratefully give you money for that.

Also, if you create a software, or a system that allows them to just click a few buttons and work is done for them they will also pay good money for that.

Don’t Sell Yourself Short

At a young age, we are told we are unique, told we can do anything we want in life. That doesn’t change as we get older, but we do.

Life gets in the way, responsibilities, family, etc. But you can still do anything.

You are worth it, you are worth the amount of money you want, you are worth charging hundreds per hour for your time, you are worth someone paying for.

Don’t sell yourself short.
