Take a look at Apple’s website today and you’ll find a whole suite of different iPhones. From the top-range iPhone 11 Pro Max to the recently-launched iPhone SE, you have a lot of different choices and many different price ranges to consider if you want to purchase an iPhone. So much so that it can actually be a little challenging to pick the ideal smartphone for your needs.

Things get even more complicated when you consider that Apple still supports older models such as the iPhone X and even the iPhone 8. One of the best things about trusting in Apple as a brand is that they will always provide long-term support for their products. If you take a look at the products that Apple considers vintage or obsolete, you’ll notice that the iPhone 6 and 7 aren’t on this list. Yes–this means that Apple still supports those older phones despite being 5 years old! They still get software updates and you can still get support should they stop working!

So this begs the question; what’s the best iPhone to purchase? What are the best iPhones of 2019?

iPhone 11 Series

The iPhone 11 series (11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max) are the latest and greatest smartphones to be released by Apple. They feature outstanding camera quality, high performance thanks to their latest A13 Bionic chip, and the screen quality is absolutely stunning. However, they’re also the most expensive by far and are a little out of reach for most consumers.

Of course, if you’re looking for the latest Apple smartphone then there’s no choice but to go with the latest and greatest. However, we do feel like in terms of practicality and value, there are other choices to explore. If you absolutely need the latest model but are limited by your budget, then we suggest the iPhone 11 since it packs many of the most important features of the 11 series while still being a value oriented option.

iPhone X, XR and XS

The iPhone X, XR and XS come from the previous generation of flagship iPhones. Apple famously skipped a 9 series and jumped straight from the iPhone 8’s iconic and practical design to the X’s small bezels and cut-out notch. This design choice has left a bad impression in many smartphone users, but it’s undoubtedly another iconic Apple design choice that made its way into the new 11 series.

In terms of cost and practicality, we wouldn’t recommend getting anything from this series of iPhones simply because the 11 series is only a little bit more expensive but packs many new and improved features.

iPhone 8

The iPhone 8 is a special phone for a number of different reasons. It’s only a couple of years old which means it still has fairly good hardware and the camera is still fantastic. But it has one feature that even the most recent iPhones don’t; Touch ID. Many people still dislike the fact that the home button has disappeared on more recent models and they’re forced to use facial recognition to unlock their phones.

Another great thing about the iPhone 8 is its price. Currently, the iPhone 8 is far cheaper than the most recent iPhone models and we highly suggest it as the go-to smartphone for most people who are conscious about their budget but still want to join the Apple ecosystem. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t actually offer the iPhone 8 officially anymore, but you can still get iPhone 8 deals from different carriers.

Buying an iPhone is a huge investment nowadays, especially if you’re going to buy it new. While some may argue that buying refurbished from Apple can save you a lot of money, most of us will ultimately feel safer purchasing a brand-new product straight from the manufacturer or a mobile carrier. While it’s certainly an option, you’re definitely going to miss out on peace of mind which is arguably what many of Apple’s products do a great job of.

We hope that this article of the best iPhones of 2019 has helped you decide which iPhone you should purchase. Apple does a great job of supporting even their older devices, so don’t feel bad or out of date if you want to save a lot of money and go for an older model! Of course, if you want the best of the best, then you’re going to have to shell out a considerable amount of money!
